Secured Environment Company was formed by a group of experts from energy, environment and security industries who are here to help assess and manage finance related vulnerabilities in the global business environment.

Edward Leung, Managing Partner, is a GE-trained business strategist responsible for global strategic planning in nuclear energy and industrial systems businesses where he directed risk assessment and environmental security programs protecting of infrastructure and intellectual assets in corporate M&A activities. He was environmental economic advisor to several major projects including projects in water infrastructure (China) and nuclear energy (US and Japan).

Ruth Fisher, PhD, Senior Partner, is the founder and principal of QuantAA, where she applies advanced quantitative and economic principles to help clients assess various aspects of their business operations and markets, including: quantifying past and present costs, profits, and returns; and estimating expected future risks, costs, values, and returns. The information Dr. Fisher has provided her clients enabled them to make better decisions and to achieve greater value.

Anthony Ching, JD, General Counsel, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School with over 25 years of corporate and private practice legal experience.  He has been a partner with the international law firms of Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe and the former Graham and James. He has also served as General Counsel of TSMC-Wafertech and Continental Carbon Company. Mr. Ching has a broad range of experience in handling business practice, corporate governance, environmental, IP, international transactions, licensing, litigation management, risk management, regulatory compliance, technology transfer and providing legal counseling to executive management and Board of Directors. Mr. Ching has been a speaker at University of California, Davis, University of Houston, Pepperdine University and American Bar Association and American Corporate Counsel annual conferences

William “Chuck” Stevenson, Partner, is a chemist and management consultant with over 50 years of experience in intellectual property development in energy technologies, including biomass based renewable and alternative fuels, and material science related to the formulation and processing of novel optical materials, special high performance polymers and polymer coatings for electronic applications, medical devices and advanced energy production and storage systems. Trained at Amherst College and MIT he has held senior management and technical positions in both large industrial companies and small entrepreneurial organizations. As the holder of over 10 patents he is thoroughly familiar with the IP process and is currently a senior technical IP advisor to a number of business and university organizations. Mr. Stevenson is a member of AAAS and SPIE and is the author or co-author of over 50 publications and presentations.

James Caldwell, PhD, Partner, is fluent in Chinese and has taught American and international political science and history, the Politics of Energy and the Environment, and statistical analysis of political and economic data. Dr. Caldwell was Assistant Director of the Center for East Asian Studies at Stanford University where he coordinated cross disciplinary programs. He founded Pacific Rim Connections which developed and marketed multilingual software that simplified multimedia communications for international organizations. As the first Editor of the Unicode Standard for multilingual electronic communications, Dr. Caldwell helped companies develop a shared standard that strengthened their competing technologies. At SEC, he practices the art of Internet IP protection and IP market intelligence for SEC clients in the global marketplace. With his help, SEC is developing Unicode-based software capable of detecting infringement activities in multilingual environments.

Stephen Cheung, PhD, Partner, has background in physics.  He has extensive business experience in technology companies in the capacity of R&D, engineering, and operations with academic and commercial organizations in Asia and the USA.  He has a network of field-based analysts worldwide capable quick market intelligence fully meeting the unique requirements of the largest multinational clients. Dr. Cheung is the author of two books in microwave technology.

Krishna Seshan, PhD, Partner, has worked in R&D research and engineering in IBM and Intel, holds several patents on semiconductor manufacturing. He presently teaches in the Engineering School at San Jose State University and is editor of The Handbook of Thin Film Processing.  Dr. Seshan is founder & director of Project Enable at San Jose State and Stanford Universities, where robotic tools and gadgets are designed to enable the disabled. One of the clients for these tools is the Palo Alto Veteran’s Administration Health Care System in California.
